Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Shampoo, Thickens + Volumizes, For Fine Hair

I bought this for my balding husband, and we’ve both been pleasantly surprised by how well it works. His hair is super fine and thinning on top, but after using this, it actually looks fuller and has way more body. Obviously it’s not a hair growth treatment, but it really helps give the appearance of thicker, healthier hair.The scent is clean and fresh without being overpowering, and I love how long it lingers. The formula is lightweight, so it doesn’t leave any buildup or weigh his hair down, which is super important when you’re working with thinner strands. The shampoo lathers up really nicely and feels high quality — not watered down or cheap like some volumizing shampoos we’ve tried.It’s also helped with itchiness. His scalp used to get dry and irritated with other shampoos, but this one keeps it hydrated and comfortable. No flakes, no tight feeling, just soft and clean hair that looks way better.Honestly, for the price and quality, it’s totally worth it. He feels more confident, and his hair looks great. We’ll definitely be buying this again.

Typically I buy "the cheap stuff," but I am glad I didn't do that this time. This shampoo smells great, is body building, and rinses out easily.

I've always had good hair, according to other people and many hairdressers over the years. Now that I'm in my 70's, it seems dry, lifeless, and it won't hold highlights for very long plus I'm getting a thinning spot in the back. I've never been a big Paul Mitchell fan, however, this came highly recommended. Being able to buy it in a small and less expensive amount to try it out was appealing. I haven't used it enough to know the long term effects, but so far, so good and my hair has been a little easier to style.

Actually does infuse hair with ample body. Gentle enough for daily use. My thin fine hair is alive again. I added extra body conditioner. A perfect pair.

For whatever reason, my hair will not hold curls with this shampoo. I work in TV and for the first two shows it's fine. By the late newscasts, I would have barely a wave. I often rotate my shampoo so I noticed it happening on certain nights. After a trial, it always fell flat after using this. I'm shocked. It holds curl with John Frieda. Not sure what's in this to lose the curl, but I will not buy again because of it. Otherwise it felt fine.

I have always used Paul Mitchell's products and I will certainly continue to purchase them.

I like this volumizing shampoo as it provides volume enhancement without drying out my hair. Many volume shampoos seem to make my hair dry. Not this one.
