Works great.
This device appears to be 100% compatible with the original product. I use it almost daily and have had zero problems.

programmer must-have for your workshop
The AVR Programmer worked great with Microchip Studio, was able to revive boards with bricked bootloaders. It's an excellent alternative programmer as must-have for your workshop, good price point. Comes with all cables .

Works perfectly!
This programmer works great. It worked on some older MCUs where my USBTiny (and an Arduino as ISP) would not. I have some older MCUs I've been practicing on and I couldn't get my USBTiny to get valid signatures back. The 'AVRISP MKII' reads/writes these perfectly with AVRDude. Unfortunately, you can't use this with Atmel Studio 7 on those older MCUs because AS7 doesn't support them. If you can use command based software for programming, it seems this guy will work with just about any Atmel AVR that supports ISP.
