Expansion Pack - Saboteur 2 - Exciting Gold-Digging Strategy Card Game for 2-12 Players, Ages 8+

About eight of my friends at work play this game every day at lunch. We have about a dozen games to select from, but this has been our favorite. The expansion brings the challenge up several notches. While the original game is fun in unto itself, the expansion is a must. It is a more fun because it is not just dwarfs vs saboteurs, now most dwarfs have competing goals. There are blue dwarfs, green dwarfs, crystal hunters, bosses, profiteers, and saboteurs. It is now no longer obvious if a player is a saboteur or not, and even if they are, they might not be your biggest threat! It takes us about an hour to get through 3-4 rounds. The rules are a little confusing, but after a few rounds, you'll get a better understanding and will create house rules to tailor to your group. I would recommend playing the original game a few times first, to get used to the mechanics of the game. If you enjoy the stand alone game, you must get the expansion.

This game is so fun, after playing three basic version, I got this expanded one for my niece. It’s a family favorite. Fairly easy to learn and goes quickly.

This fixes the imbalance of the base game, adds new characters and makes the game even more fun and hectic than the original, a must have if you like the base game. I only recommend to learn the base game first and play with it for a while before moving on to this expansion. It is a little more complex to learn (more rules) so it's easier to do it step by step.

The base game and expansion of saboteur is incredibly fun. 2-12 players with the expansion, so many possibilities, and so much fun! Highly recommend!!

Great game. If you love the original Saboteur, Saboteur 2 adds a bunch of fun additional characters and path cards. The rules are also slightly different but all of the changes add to improve the game and make it more fun.

this expansion lends a good deal if complexity to the game which i appreciate. we have now played several games in which we thought we all knew who all the characters in play were, only to be surprised (and therefore short on gold) at the end of the round. the expansion does lengthen the game a bit, and the role of the geologist is not very interactive... (although the right geologist can make kife a pain for the dwarves if you have the right kind of group.) the profiteer is a major wild card player, and the boss is just odd.. not sure how to play him yet. all of the new attacks and defense cards enrich the game and also balance it - we had found that in small group games there were too many attacks and not enough defense in the original deck, but that problem is remedied here. my kids love to play thus with us and we are still enjoying saboteur after a few years of play.

It is a great addition to the basic version of the game. We only got to play 1 round, but it was a fun and engaging change up to the regular game. Highly recommend if you only have the basic version.

The family really get into the game it is a 100% better for family time. The children are asking to play it.😀😀👍🏽

It's right for this to be called 'Saboteur 2'. It's a completely different game from the original rather than merely an 'expansion'

Es un juego emocionante, con mas roles para jugadores que el juego base, mas estrategia y mas caminos para llegar a la pepita dorada, indiscutiblemente el trabajo de los geólogos, le da otro giro de interés al juego, y que decir de la cárcel, los perezosos y los gandayas que roban parte del botín al final, magnifico juego.
