Excellent summer activity for my child

Especially in the reading comprehension sections, the questions ask for interpretation beyond the scope of what the articles discuss. It becomes an exercise in pure conjecture. The directions on math activities are sometimes incorrect or incomplete as well. I love the goal setting and focus on physical health, but I'll stick with my Evan Moor summer books in the future.

I have used these over the years with my boys and really liked them. This one was rough, though! There wasn't any example provided as review and many of the skills are not in alignment with Common Core. Some of the directions were also confusing- and I am an elementary school teacher! My son ended up skipping many pages, as they covered things he hasn't yet learned. (And I really didn't want to spend my summer home schooling.)
