Firm, comfortable and confident
Purchased these as a replacement to my really old and beaten up original stock grips on my Specialized S-Works mountain bike from the 90s and boy I couldn't be happier - so long overdue. I really love how simple and comfortable these grips are. They are really unassuming, but pack a lot of grip and gave me even a little more confidence in my controlling of the bike. There are a ton of little details that make the difference. They are not bulky and knobby, but do have a very very subtle taper to the rubber that fits your hand perfectly. The spacing of the actual gripping materials themselves also changes slightly from your thumb to outer palm to provide maximum hold and comfort. The rotational reference on the exterior of the grip is also really helpful and intuitive to align the grips on initial set-up. They have nailed all of the devilish details in this great mountain bike grip. If that wasn't enough, installation is really easy and was completed in about 15 minutes start to finish. Remove your existing grips (not always a piece of cake), loosen the brakes and shifters a little, clean the bar ends with rubbing alcohol to get the grime off, slide the grip on, rotate to desired position, tighten the allen bolt (3mm I think), slide your shifters and brakes back, tighten and push in the end cap - that's it. I wish that I had replaced my originals sooner with these and would recommend that you do so for your bike as soon as possible to enjoy your ride even more.

Really comfortable grips, almost perfect design
The GA2's have a nice tapered shape compared to regular grips. Because they have an ergonomic design, you have to take the time to get them positioned correctly by rotating them on the bar until they fit your palm while you are in your preferred riding position. Once you find the correct grip position, you'll notice that the grip comfort is excellent; even after a full day of park riding I did not have any arm pump, palm fatigue, or wrist fatigue! At first I found them slightly thinner in diameter than what I'm used to, but after a few rides I stopped noticing it. The only reason why I did not give the GA2's a 5-star rating is because the bar ends are built-in, so the rubber part of the grip on the ends of the bars will see some wear and tear quickly whenever you have to put your bike down on its side.

Unique Grips
I switched from Specialized SIP grips to these. I really like the thinness of the SIPs but they can be harsh on bumpy downhill runs. The GA2s have more shock absorption and are thicker overall, but not too thick. I’ve been wearing gloves with padded palms, however, and the GA2s feel too thick for my taste when using these gloves. Bare hand grip and comfort is very good and think I’ll really like the GAs with a non padded glove. The ergonomic shape is comfortable and surprisingly also has an aggressive, locked-in feel. Riding with my hands out at the end of the bars doesn’t put uncomfortable pressure on the outside edge of my palms as it does at times with the SIPs. I think the GA2s look great as well.

Slippery
Ergon makes great grips. These are well made with quality materials, but I would go with GE1 or GDH grips though. These are rubber padded but slippery and hard to tell where your hands are on the grips. They are good for leisure cruiser biking but a poor fit for gravel or mountain biking.

Bonne qualité. Facile à installer et elles sont bien pour les trajets plus longs.

These are so much of an improvement over my old grips (although they were properly ancient and worn out). Really good cushioning - made a huge difference on gravelly trails. The grip is fantastic and very intuitive - if they're fitted right, they let you move about in all the right places but grip hard in all the right places too. The grip is also placed so you can encourage a particular wrist position - helpful for getting out of bad wrist-hurty habits. I got these for about £18 which is kind of pricey, but well worth it.
