Two Monitors from an Early 2015 Macbook Air
Two monitors and a hub with my Early 2015 Macbook Air! I leave my external hard disk for Time Machine, two monitors, and keyboard plugged into the hub all the time. To connect my Macbook Air, I simply plug in Power and Lightning cable. This product includees a lightning cable, so don't buy an extra one. It doesn't get too hot like at least one other reviewer has claimed. I have no complaints. The fact that I can run two monitors from the Air is outstanding. And I'm surprised how much I use the hub feature (leaving Time Machine drive connected, for example) The monitors are connected via DisplayPort to HDMI for one and I had a lightning to HDMI cable on-hand that I was using pre-hub for the other monitor. Not sure if I could have used DisplayPort to HDMI for both, but those weren't the cables I had on-hand so I didn't bother to test any other configurations. Highly recommend. The mess of cables in the picture is generally my ear buds. It's a clean setup. You can see the hub on the desk behind the monitors.

My favorite home office platform is 2 displays
Finally! Switched to a Mac this year at work and the learning curve has been challenging. My favorite home office platform is 2 displays, with laptop closed. I found this baed on a recommendation from the manufacturer. Comes with display port cable but you use that to connect your laptop to the docking station, so if you have 2 monitors plan on getting a display port cable, as well. My set up is new HP display - HDMI to display port and older HP display (VGA) to display port. Tons of USB ports but as we all know Apple has killed those for displays in the latest OSX. I did shop this product and Amazon had the best price!

Connect MacBook Air and Two External Dell Monitors
I bought the StarTech Thunderbolt 2 Dock in order to connect my 13" MacBook Air with two external Dell Monitors using the ThunderBolt 2 Port on my MacBook Air and the two DisplayPorts on the Dock. It took me about 10 minutes to set-up the Dock and two Monitors. It works just as I had hoped and it also validated what an Apple Store employee had told me about the StarTech Dock being a great solution. It's simple to use and worth every penny to have two external monitors.

Poor performance, heat issues
Product overheated, flakey performance. Retired it after 6months. Too later to return. Too bad

Ok, this thing has seriously broken/stopped working 2 weeks ...
Ok, this thing has seriously broken/stopped working 2 weeks after the return policy expired.I say broken, because after 10 minutes of using Mac OS X crashes and the Ethernet port never becomes active.

Hit or miss with this one. Would like to try again....
Very disappointed with the functionality of this device. Not sure how it suppose to help expand your ports if it doesn’t work

Frying Pan with Driver Issues
I had to return the hub. I don't recommend it. It continually runs extremely hot, which cooks everything connected to it. You could literally cook an egg on it. There were also Thunderbolt driver issues. Unfortunate, since it is a great design.

A bit buggy but works well if you use it right.
At first this was buggy and I almost returned it. I managed to get it to work the way I need it in the end though. Just have to be careful with how you plug things in and unplug them. Its a bit finnikey but its old and discontinued and hard to find. Does the job. Am actually quite happy with it for what it is.
