FX Spinning

Purchased two of these, a 6'6" Medium Light Action and a 7' Medium Heavy Action rod. The 6½' rod is paired with a Mitchell 308 spooled with 10-pound braid and the 7' rod sports a Mitchell 300 reel with 20-pound braid aboard.The Shimano FX Series of rods are neither the lightest nor the most sensitive models you can buy, but spooled with the correct line on quality reels they will get the job done in all but the most demanding fishing situations. The 308 rig is the one I use when targeting crappie, pan fish and smallmouths; the 300 gets on the water for walleyes, catfish and the landlocked stripers we have in the Midwest. Both do their jobs quite well; I especially appreciate the double line guide feet on the heavier action rods. They are a superb value at this price point.Highly recommended and will purchase again.

Shimano rods are a great value for the money. Why spend more? These are great!

I got the 7 foot Medium Heavy rod. Spec are Length: 7'0" Line WT: 12-25 Lure WT: 1/2 - 3oz Power: Medium Heavy Action: FastSo far the rod has all the back bone and more for a MH rod. Huge, slick guides. If you're looking for a spinning rod that can flip and pitch, run 6-8" swim baits and1/2oz+ jigs with good sensitivity this is the best rod at the best price.

Have gotten lax using Amazon for my purchases lately. Didn't read return policy close enough and when order arrived it was not what I had expected. Much too large for my uses. When I tried to return it, I was surprised to learn that I would have to pay for shipping and a 25percent stocking fee. After calling owner he assured me that it wasn't his fault but amazons and that basically that was the way he did business. I haveno problem with product but will not purchase from this seller again.

I liked this Rod very much , As I said before I Bought three ,even though I was wanting a Spinning ,I got Casting ,But I will take it also and I will like it too , All that would like to have a good Rod for a Good Price should buy at least one .

This is one of the best bargains in fishing rods! Bought a pair for the Grandkids to use.

For this rod to be a medium heavy it’s a huge rod that seems like it should be used for surf fishing, I have cast rods that are the same brand in MH that is half the size of this.
