Flips Open, Calls Mom, Saves Lives—What Can’t It Do?
The Lively Jitterbug Flip2 is the phone equivalent of a warm hug from your tech-savvy grandma. Big buttons? Check. Loud speaker? Check. Emergency button that feels like Batman’s hotline? Absolutely. It’s so simple, even your cat could dial 911 (not recommended). Just flip it open and boom—instant connection, no swiping, no app jungle. Plus, it comes with a personal operator who can call you a Lyft. Yes, really. It’s like having a concierge in your pocket. Perfect for seniors, technophobes, or anyone who thinks smartphones are just too... smart. This phone doesn’t judge—it just connects.

Great phone if you don't want the thirst trap in your pocket.
What a win! A phone that calls and texts instead of selling every piece of my internet history to the highest bidder in order to fill my life with ads and porn. Let's go! This phone is easy to set up, easy to use, and so far, the call quality has been just as good as my old Verizon phone. The battery is lasts forever. The only thing that is taking some getting used to is the old-school texting format. And the fact that the "ok" button is not in the center of the directional pad (why in the world would that not be the case). Thanks for a great product Jitterbug. Helping me take back my life!

Bought for a friend.
I got this phone for an older gentleman that doesn't know much about how to run a phone. I think the phone is overall great. But when I was setting it up for him, it was difficult. I was doing it online to save the $5. (They tell you, you can save 5$ if u do it online) well, it didn't work so it told me I needed to call customer service. That was also a pain and it didn't go very smoothly. I couldn't imagine a older person trying to set this up by themselves. I'm 27, if that means anything. But overall, we finally got it set up and he can use it fairly easy.

volume level keeps shifting
Good but not Great. The user interface tries to do too many things: take pictures, videos, do text messages, check voice mail, check missed calls . . . Seniors need a phone that does one thing GREAT (make phone calls) and move everything else to the back burner, still available, but buried away in the menus for savy Seniors who feel like exploring bonus features. There are so many things they could have done to make phone calling easier. This is actually better than other flip phones, but not as much as hoped for. I'd suggest they make the call menu top priority for the phone, scroll down and have the contact names right there, then press okay and it immediately calls that contact. To do anything else should require navigating through the MENU which could be at the top, right above all the contact names. Easy, problem solved, and many more aging seniors would be able to use it.----EDIT---- My mother is constantly accidentally turning the volume down (pressing the buttons on the side) and then saying things like "I can't hear you I can't hear you I can't hear you" and has difficulty figuring out she needs to turn the volume back up. subtracting another star. surprisingly difficult for her to use this phone---REEDIT -- this is an AWFUL PHONE, Mom and I can't figure out how to adjust the ringer volumn up, I tried to talk to her on another phone telling her which button to press, the volumn button on the side that the manual clearly specifies, didn't work, she actually got it to drop down to silent. 0 stars now, if can't figure it out will have to cancel---Re-REedit 3rd time -- Mom still can't figure out how to adjust the ringer volume. It arbitrarily gets set to Ringer-OFF (I suspect from hitting the side buttons by accident) then the phone does't ring and she doesn't answer it, and when she tries to adjust the volumn while I'm on the phone with her, when I tell her how, she adjusts the Conversation-Volume. The folks at Jitterbug need to get a phone design that's not prone to senior citizens accidently pressing the ringer volume to OFF. It's more than a head-ache, it causes her to NOT HEAR THE PHONE RING. sure, young folks can figure out what's going on, and try not to do it again, but elderly seniors don't learn from past mistakes and cant figure things out easily. I have to give this phone an F rating, bad design of ringer volume and conversation volume on the side, too easy to accidentally press. okay for seniors with sharp minds, and elderly . . . but folks, this is a "jitterbug" F

Easy to use
My grandma is 86 and still very active and is always out and about! She had a lower level smart phone that she absolutely hated and would always leave home without leaving me worried about me or my grandpa getting in touch with her. I surprised her with this phone and knew she’d love the color and it would make her phone easy to find!! SHE LOVES THIS PHONE!!!! Now I have peace of mind because she never goes anywhere without her phone and I get notifications when she leaves her house and gets back home and I can see her location!! My grandma loves the simplicity of the phone and we love that she doesn’t have internet access or apps on the phone so there’s no confusion. The phone was also very easy to set up. I will say with location services it is a bit delayed on updating me when she gets home. For example I spoke to her on the phone when she had just gotten home and then got the location update an hour or two later so it’s not a 100% perfect system. I also got the red carrying belt clip case for her phone and she loves the bright color of it too and that she can discreetly have the phone tucked away

Not really for elderly.
Well, it is not an I-phone. It took all afternoon to set it up and get the phone number transferred. Then the voice mail would not work. More hours getting that done. And it is not intuitive. Texting is slow as each number can hold as many as four letters. This was bought for an elderly friend. It is marginally better than the Trax phone he had. I personally would not own one. Apple I-phones are so much easier.

For those who only want to make voice calls
The perfect phone for a senior who only wants to make voice calls. My wife will not use smart phones, I should know I bought her three over the years and they sit in a box. This flip phone has good voice quality, looks great, and for her its super simple to use. I should have purchased it years ago. Great value for the money.

The Jitterbug 2 is a great phone for the cost.
The Jitterbug 2 arrived even sooner than expected. With a little help it was set up in less than 1/2 hour.Sound is great, charged very quickly was very easy to use. Easy to connect to all of my contacts, and the other features offered. It fits very comfortably in my hand, and with the bright red finish, I am certain I will not be misplacing it.
