I am very pleased with this item. It is high quality, robust build and well designed. It is easy to quickly reposition from portrait to landscape mode for my iPhone; All knobs tighten easily and securely. It is very intuitive to figure out and easy to use. The base fits easily and snuggly into my tripod head clamp which I use for quick release camera plates, both Arca Swiss and Really Right Stuff, and is very stable. Once this is mounted on the tripod at the height you want, all adjustments can be made on the Ulanzi — face phone up or down, side to side. For several years I had been using one of the $5 tripod mount clamps that was a little cumbersome to use and shaky. I really like this Ulanzi ST-14 clamp and think that it is well worth the price.

This works well with my Google Pixel phone and a traditional large tripod. The machining and finish are high quality. It was easy to figure out how to use it. Highly recommended!

I bought this smartphone tripod mount adapter for shooting top-down art process videos and time lapses for social media with my iPhone 11 Pro. I needed a phone mount adapter that would allow me to...(1) position my phone in the middle of my ring light to shoot video of my desktop from overhead,(2) quickly reposition the phone to match the angle of my desktop when it is raised or lowered, and(3) easily switch my phone orientation from portrait to landscape mode, and vice-versa, without much fuss.Also, I wanted to avoid the spring-loaded tension used by many phone holders that places unnecessary stress on your phone and/or case.This phone tripod mount adapter meets all of my requirements listed above. I find it is easy to secure the phone with the adjustment knob and there's no tension placed on the phone or case. The ball head is also easy to lock in place and a variety of angles. I can change the angle and orientation of the phone pretty easily and lock it in place with one hand. Overall, it's quite good, though at this price, it should be.I have this mounted to a boom arm and positioned in the middle of the ring light via a SmallRig super clamp with a ball head attachment (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CSMCPKQ/). The ring light is secured to another boom positioned right behind my desk (with a full-size Manfrotto super clamp) and centered over the top of my desktop. (See the attached photo). Everything seems secure, though I cannot get the phone mount adapter completely tightened onto the super clamp when it's suspended (not surprising, given the weight and angle). I’ve only noticed this when actively repositioning my phone though and it takes just a few seconds to tighten back up. I periodically check to make sure that my iPhone is secure when it’s mounted in place and it hasn't budged yet.I am giving this camera tripod mount adapter four stars, as I am not yet certain of its long-term durability, it's rather pricey for a phone mount and I did not receive the discount that I was supposed to receive, despite clipping the 5% coupon offered prior purchase.** If you found this review helpful, please mark it as helpful to let me know and help other buyers. This is a great phone holder for tripods!Super adjustable and easy to install. I use a falcam plate and mounting base to attach this to any stand or tripod. It doesn’t get any better than this.
