Gave 2 of these to nieces as gifts. The kids and the parents really liked it. We bought several more for other niblets with good reviews.

Clear + bright images
Easy to put together, the images provided are more clear than I anticipated. Great gift for 5 year old!

**CHANGED REVIEW**
Takes batteries, no USB. Low quality for price. Only buy on sale. Images are poor quality and stars aren't good enough to fill a room.Incredibly cheap. Okay. Damn. I changed to 5 stars after the kids saw it and lost their minds 😭 I was too harsh. The kids (5&2) love it. The 5 y/o cried when he flew his little ship to the moon.

Good Educational and Fun Gift for Early Childhood
My 4-year-old grandson loves staring at the "universe" at bedtime. Suggested improvements include offering additional viewing dials (even expanding beyond space to other nature scenes). Also, the On/Off switch could be designed for easier use by young hands.

Battery operated
I had recently purchased a night light that is an astronaut and works with a charger cord. My other son liked it and wanted one, but I figured I would get him something different and purchase this. I was not happy to see that it is battery operated, I should have read deeper into it. The planet images are okay but like others said rather blurry.

My kids LOVE the rotating star function at bedtime!
This is my second one to purchase... so my other kid could have one. My 2 kids love this item, mostly for the rotating stars at bedtime. Occasionally they flip to the other end to look at the slides of space. It seems to work well and I really like that it automatically turns off after a period of time, either 15 or 30 minutes. Takes AA batteries, which I just use good quality rechargeable batteries. Since it turns off automatically, I usually get about 2+ months per battery set.
