Easy to follow directions. Initiating the sample online was easy. Getting results was fast and easy. Two surprises were: #1 due to material variability, I was instructed to collect more than one sample from within the one space. Not a problem; just didn't anticipate that. #2 This product is basically for collecting samples from within one space. Let's say within one home, you have rooms/additions where were built at different times or with different materials etc. Ideally, you may need to purchase a kit for each space to get the most reliable and useful results. I figure that would be helpful to know this before ordering.

After pulling back the top layer of flooring in our house, discovered what appeared to asbestos flooring. I found this company was the most affordable, especially for a 72 hr turnaround. I'm really happy I went with them. I recieved the sample kit and sent them a small sample of the flooring. I recieved a text message the moment they recieved the sample. That was pretty cool just to know they got it! By the way, use USPS and it is much cheaper and quicker! UPS wanted 15 bucks to get it there in a week. USPS sent it Saturday at 12:30 and it arrived Monday afternoon for $12. Mind you, I live in VA and the lab is in CA. Their sample kit fits through as a letter at the post office. The worker slid it through the little size checker tool and it was a perfect fit. That's smart thinking from the lab, and saves money for me! Anyways, they texted me Thursday that my results were ready and I found it in my email. It is a detailed form explaining the composition of the material. I really found it easy to understand and helpful. To my surprise, there was no asbestos in the tile, however, they did do a test on the adhesive underneath it. It did contain 3% asbestos. I'm so happy they tested that as well. I would have never known! I'm so pleased with the experience. I will definitely be using them again as I do more projects on our old house. We were remodeling an old house and were concerned that some of the plaster in the walls was made with asbestos. Luckily I found this test.We sent in the samples from our walls, which was extremely easy based on the simple instructions provided, and within just a few days we received the results of our test via email (thankfully negative!)If you have any worries about material containing asbestos, this test is easy to use, affordable, and just overall a much better option than paying hundreds (or thousands) of dollars to have a specialist come look at it

Sampling process was easy. Takes wayy longer than advertised. Currently on the 12th business day waiting for the results. Received a text from the company stating that they received the sample and then that was it

My rating is more of a 4-1/2 stars than 4 but I don't have that option. It's not a perfect experience but it is certainly very good.Got this to test some insulation over some steam heating pipes near the boiler in my basement. It didn't look like traditional asbestos pipe insulation that I've seen in the past (it was very thin) but I had a feeling it was asbestos. My furnace needs to get replaced and the contractor will likely need to cut pipes and vibrate this insulation to install the new furnace so I wanted it tested beforehand.I ordered this test kit after seeing it as an Amazon promoted product and looking at reviews. Unfortunately, didn't see any warning in the Amazon listing saying not to use this kit for pipe or spray on insulation. This warning was however in the instructions included in in the kit. The recommendation is to call a local professional for this type of asbestos. Since my insulation was more of a paper like material and not a looser insulation, I decided to continue with this kit. I probably should have gotten the kit with the respirator and protective gear but I used PPE equipment that I already had at home.The instructions indicate to fill out the online form and the form at the back of the instruction booklet prior to sending the samples out. The kit came with 2 small, plastic sample bags. I initially thought this was for 2 samples but it is not. They require the sample to be double bagged. They also require you write you write your reference number (received when you fill out the web form) on the bags, the paper form and the mailing envelope.The instructions then ask you grab a sample no more than 1" x 1" square (I also read the size of a quarter). I put on my PPE and did just that. Luckily there was a small piece, about that size (3/4” round), dangling from one of the pipes I was able to easily pluck without any cutting.My biggest issue was the post office would not take the sample once I mentioned it contained a small sample of asbestos. They considered it a hazardous material. I contacted the company via their web form and received a reply within an hour stating I should be able to mail a small sample and the cited the code permitting the mailing of small samples. They then suggested sending it via UPS or FedEx. I ended up sending it via FedEx from my office.Once they received the sample, I got my results back very quickly. Surprisingly quick in fact. The sample was delivered at 8:50 am the next business day after I mailed it. My results were emailed under 4 hours later. The results were clearly stated in the emailed and texted certificate.I am very happy with the service and their very quick responses. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone that asked me.

I don't know why they got any 1⭐ reviews. They did exactly as promised.I'm guessing these other reviewers didn't follow the instructions. They weren't complicated, although you have to follow every step. Get the reference number, fill everything out online, package your sample as instructed and everything will work out fine.
