Better than new.
I was about to ditch my Rove cam because I got tired of it falling off the windshield and then screw you use to adjust the angle (where it slides into the camera) had broken as well. I decided to order this and can say it's probably better than the original parts that came with the camera.While a suction cup should work on its own, this one has a slightly "sticky" feel which likely helps it stay in place. I took a road trip for a week after installing this and no issues at all. Meanwhile, the device I got with the actual camera was falling off within the first week?I would say if you like the Rove camera and had immediate issue with the mounting system, then just buy this.

Worked great I had to replace the old one that came with the camera. Apparently I guess had dry rot and no longer stuck to the windshield.

Great low price, but plastic is extremely brittle when exposed to sunlight and heat
I purchased this item so I’d have a spare part for mounting my Rove dash cam. Rove includes this exact item for free with their dash cams, but they tend to get brittle when exposed to sunlight and heat while stuck to your windshield. As a result I’ve had several snap into pieces and find my dash cam hanging by the power cord. I wish Rove would use higher quality plastics for their mounting hardware, but at least they sell replacements for a low price. Similar mounts for Garmin cams are not included with the cameras, and must be purchased separately for a ridiculous price of nearly $30.

Excellent performance and price.
Excellent product that I've now got in 4 of my cars. The first one I received for this order was defective but the seller replaced it immediately without any pushback, and the replacement works very well. I've bought 4 dashcams over the last 8 years from them and it is typically my experience that everything works at least as well as advertised and their customer service is exceptional. The first camera I bought from them is now 8 years old and functions perfectly. I'm a fan of this company and their products.

Perfect Replacement for R2-4K
Perfect replacement! I currently have a Rove R2-4K dash cam and the original mount finally broke. Just glad I didn't need to buy a new kit!
