This soap kills ticks.
An avid hunter told me that lye soap kills ticks. We have an issue with ticks in the spring, summer and fall. I am pleased to say it does, in fact, kill ticks. Shower with it and leave the soap on your skin for about 10 to 15 minutes. Try not to automatically pull the tick off you because the head will probably stay in you and continue to put its poison in you. Treat the tick to a nice lye soap scrub instead.

It smells like lard, and lard smells very bad
Lard soap, smells of lard. That should have been expected, I know see, but it's something I can't deal with. I'm gagging while using it.It's a nice soap otherwise, if you can handle the smell of lard, it won't bother you. But if the musty smell of pig fat bothers your, pass on this

Great soap
I can't believe this soap is no longer available. I have extremely sensitive skin, and I have been trying to find a great soap. This is the best soap I have found. I was just going to order more and some for my son.

Great for your skin!
Wonderful soap. I bought this to wash after being in places where chiggers were. Seems to work for that. But to my surprise it makes my skin feel great. I was having to put on lots of lotion after a shower even if I didn't use soap. This soap rather than drying makes your skin feel good!

Great stain lifter
Have been able to save several items from the rag pile. I just rub it on stains and wash. I'd already used other stuff on several of the stains without luck.

Decent Soap
I bought this soap because my local store was out of lard soap. I since then have started making my own lard soap, however, this soap got us through with having to buy commercial soap like dove.
