^___^ My model arrived well packaged considering it came all the way from Viet Nam. Very detailed and intricate rigging. The instructions for mounting the bow sprit was a little confusing but I was able to figure it out. Nice model.

This will be used as a centerpiece on our dinning room table. The table is seldom used as a table, however it is in a place that can be seen from any part of the great room. It is a focal point of the room. We were going to put the model on the fireplace mantle but after seeing it "in person" I realized that it needs to be at eye level or lower to really be appreciated. The craftsmanship and attention to detail on this piece is over the top. It is way better than anything I have ever seen in this price range. Let me put it this way; when I told my sweetheart wife that I was going to purchase this model warship. At first it was to be displayed in my tiny office, ONLY. It is now in the most conspicuous place in the whole house. "Nuf said"

The Masts are unfinished pieces of wood, one was leaning back pretty good. The guns look like they were made using an inferior casting process leaving many of them deformed and missing wheels and the life boats look like they were made by children. Returned for refund.

Excellent ship model. This is not the typical ship model found in furniture or design stores, but a plank on plank build, similar to a wooden ship craftsman model, but not quite to that level. The blocks are too large (that the lines run through). While it is carefully packaged in wood and cardboard and foam, some parts are broken (one lifeboat davit), but can be quickly fixed with super glue. This is my second ship from Old Modern Handicrafts, a proof of how please I am with the products. They come with certs and a little history of how they are built (in Vietnam). I wait for them to be on sale, but in reality, the full price is reasonable considering all the hand work that goes into them. I tried a wood kit, solid block hull (not plank on plank) and never got it done, and the kit cost about half of what these sell for. If you like a realistic wood model, these models should be at the top of the list.

The hull is beautiful and there are many nice details, but the deck and rigging are not those of the USS Constition and some of the rigging is completely wrong for any square rigger.

The model looks amazing and there is definitely a lot of really great detail that went into this piece. I am not a huge fan of the material used for the flag but will work with a local model & memorabilia shop to replace it, and maybe replace the fabric used for the masts later. Well worth the money and this piece will certainly turn a few heads with our Navy friends and family!!

Beautiful handiwork by craftsman from Vietnam. To have this made in the States by skilled artisans would be prohibitively expensive. The ship contains all the detail you would expect and can see on the website. It came drop shipped in a very timely manner and was completely protected and well packed. It arrives in a large cardboard box that houses a wooden crate that protects the ship with styrofoam. It is also tied down to various wooden spars of the crate. The fit and finish are excellent and worth the cost. It is a display piece that shows the quality of construction. The price changes on this ship on what seemed like a regular basis so if you want it I would watch the price over a several week period. Other sellers have this same ship. The prices vary widely so do some shopping around. At the time I bought, Amazon had the best deal.
