LOVE this product (is it possible to love a shower drain?). Our old drain was of poor quality and was never "installed" correctly - so it easily came loose and moved around. Unattractive and ineffective. I was looking for a replacement, and this at least looked like it might be what I wanted. It arrived... I removed it from its packaging and just placed it on the opening - no "installation" necessary. Remained secure and stationary. Actually enhances the look of the shower area. Catches hairs well - while keeping them "invisible" until the drain is cleaned. Perfection.

Excellent product. Fits OVER the current drain pan hole, but is super easy to use. I use in apartments, so I caulk in place. Very easy to clean.

This is a simple two-piece design for effectively catching hair in the shower. It’s a simple two-piece design that catches the hair around a rubbery spool-like part. You just lift this out, wipe away the hair, and drop it back into the metal part that sits in the shower drain. It doesn’t affect the way the water flows down the drain and installation was literally only two minutes, if that. The hardest part was opening the package.This is the second one I’ve purchased because we have a naughty puppy in the house and she helped herself to the tempting rubbery center piece and had a very fun afternoon.Alas, without the delightfully chewy middle piece, the hair catcher doesn’t work as well.So I had to get a new one. Not a big deal, since it wasn’t too expensive and now I keep the bathroom door closed so the puppy isn’t tempted to snack on the hair catcher again.

This is the 3rd drain cover I've tried and it is the best one! I think my search is over. My drain has a X shaped cross bar in it but this drain cover still sits down in the drain all the way and the edge is flush against the bottom of the tub. All the hair does get caught around the silicone center piece and is easy to remove just like the instructions show - remove the center piece, pull off the hair and you're good to go.The best part is that even with all the hair stuck in the center piece, the rest of the drain is still clear so you can shower without it backing up. My previous drain cover caught the hair but was annoying to clean and would back up after 2 days requiring clearning. This one collected a weeks worth of hair and was still draining fine.One caveat is that when I first turn the water on and its coming out of the spout, it doesn't drain as quickly and will start to fill the bottom of the tub until I turn on the shower head. Not a big deal, only pertains to when the water takes a minute to warm up. Otherwise, very happy with this drain cover.

This hair catcher has been working very well for me. I like that the center of it sits down inside the drain opening. The hair swirls around the black rubber insert in the center and gets caught. Cleaning it is as simple as pulling the rubber insert out removing the ring of hair around it. I've used a couple of other hair catchers with different designs and they didn't do as good a job trapping hair and were more tedious to clean.

So easy to use, and works! You pull out the little hair catcher and everything just slides right off. No more tugging at nasty tangled hair. It can be pretty full too and water will still drain normally. Very good quality and worth the price in my opinion.

It catches hair but the other features are a little messy. The water drains slow like if there was a clog, and it could be that I have a small drain but that's exactly what I'm trying to prevent by using this so really what is the difference. Simply put, I use one disposable glove to take out the hairs that is stuck on the surface of the drain while I need to use two to remove the hairs in the hair catcher (one hand to hold it and the other to remove the hairs while they are tangled up, mind you). If the trouble doesn't bother you, then this is not a bad product for you, but I was not completely satisfied. Great quality and material, very light, and does what it's supposed to do.
