The oem part number shown in product information 17801-38040 is not the correct lexus part number for the 2013 gs350. is it wrong?

O.E.M. Original Equipment Manufacturer establishes the original Part number. ECOGARD is not the original part manufacturer so they use a different Part number. But if you notice the description says" filter fits lexus GS350 3.5 L 2013 - 2019, IS250 2.5L 2014-2015", Because a lot of filter company's make many kinds of filters for many different cars . if you google search your part number they will also show parts compatible with yours but different makers . look up the other cars filters and see if they match yours . if so your on the right path.

Are you supposed to peel the foam layer off the bottom and if so are you supposed to take the glue off as well

it cleans the air, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

it was not quite square, but not round either. you could see light thru it but you can't read thru it . and you can breath thru it but it won't fit your nose, or even your face. it's made for a particular application that eludes me at the moment. but it was a right fit and a good choice overall. and then later I had the car serviced and they just threw it away ! No fond farewell, no Bonn Voyage. Fits Lexus is250 well, there is a foam pre filter that may restrict air, but ads extra filtering, this foam is easily removable and for the price is a good product, I will continue to order as long as they have it in stock
