Yes they can be a bit confusing. Lots of operator error lol. First buy cameras that are not run from a batteries The d run about three months using the cheap price range batteries the ten dollar cell plan is each month for a year. If u go monthly it’s a bit more. You can suspend service when going monthly but must run 12 months when buying the year The cameras are not an easy setup. But once you get the hange of them and keep your mind on what your doing they are very nice. Pics are good not great depends on light and conditions I have been using them over a year now and will buy another 2-3 got another parcel I just acquired.

Great concept of linking satellite cams to one uploading unit. My unit only took super grainy pics and if you choose the 20mp setting the pics were still terrible. The available quality was completely unacceptable. I returned this unit and maybe mine was just a bad camera.

The cameras are very dependable and they link very long distances in the mountains. The battery life last a very long time with the D batterie. The AA batteries don’t last quite as long. Customer service is great. I would 6 cameras and I am about to buy 4 more.

Highly recommend to stay away. Problems from the minute I hung this camera. First it was me not having a channel listed. Then is was I didn’t have a location. Then it was firmware. Then is possible could be the firmware is still on the card. Each time the camera worked while I was there for several days after and the. Quit. Bought the camera and solar powered charger / battery pack. Went through the instructions, updated firmware, conducted multiple successful cell tests to still only have a camera that works for a day or two and then quits. I’ve literally wasted over a month, had to make (2) 4+hr trips one way, fuel cost and still don’t have a camera that works better than my cheap SPYPOINTS. Multiple calls to support. They are nice but weren’t able to diagnose the issue. Hopefully this review will save you some time, money and expense. Look for another brand and option.

I had high hopes of this system for my home turf. They go through batteries like crazy and, worse, three of the cameras' waterseals totally failed--water in the battery compartment and internal moisture in the lens. Fortunately I was able to get Amazon to refund my money less a stocking fee, cause Cuddeback wouldn't take care of it. Lame. $15/month service, I'd rather have three cell cameras at $5/month and be able to put them wherever I want than having to be in range of the home camera.
