Q: Has anyone had an issue with the connectors that attach to the top of the tripod not screwing on correctly? mismatched threads?

Mine did! The top connectors DO NOT thread on and trying only strips the threads. Returning tonight

Q: Can anyone confirm that these actually work with the original Oculus Rift sensors?

I bought it for a vive, I don't know about the Oculus

This item is supposed to be used as a alternative way to mount base stations for light-house-tracking-compatible VR gear. Make sure the VR system you have/are buying actually uses base-stations for tracking, and if it does and you can't mount the base stations on wall-mount gear, getting tripods is an alternative.
