Basically a magnifying glass
I guess I should have known..but this is basically a magnifying glass for your phone that won’t focus. My 4 year old was asking for VR goggles and I thought I would try some cheap ones first since he is a little young. If you can get them to focus enough, you can use them for about 5 mins before you get a headache

Basic VR Headset That Works
The media could not be loaded. The Heromask VR goggles sets up in four easy steps. It is great for beginners. The instruction sheet don't tell you much, but they are a basic pair of vr goggles. The headset do allow you to adjust your phone in the goggles for better viewing. They are light weight and not to bulky. You can download most basic 360 degree videos and vr games to work with this goggle. I also used the goggles to fly my drone. The headset was used to view the image through the drone camera to fly. It works. I gave it an overall 4 rating because they are a good pair of basic vr goggles that are easy to use. The instructions are not very helpful especially for beginners and they are a little bulky.

(+) Effective 'fake' VR (-) Not much first-party support; pricey, given the limitations
The Heromask is a decent budget VR setup; it fits a wide array of phones, is reasonably comfortable, does a great job of blocking out light, and loads/unloads phones pretty easily.I give this a numerical rating of 3.5 out of 5, but if forced to choose, I have to skew down (thus my three-star rating). This is for three reasons: this style of 'cardboard' VR has fallen out of fashion with app developers and is on its way out as a format; there's no first-party software support to speak of; and $35USD (at the time of this review) is a lot to pay for what is essentially a novelty at this point.

Mostly amazing! And the bits that are not... well, that might be me!
I have pretty bad eyesight - I am 20:20 with my glasses, and blind as a bat without them.I was excited to try these, I figured that focusing on a point a few centimeters in front of my face would give me an amazing, working visual experience.Setting the device up was easy. My phone did not fit, and then I realized that I had to take my phone out of its case! From that point on it was all easy.Adjusting the focal points and distance between eyes was easy and intuitive.the images are a bit "curvy" - however that is the nature of the beast, and not an issue with this headset.Sadly, both views are slightly out of focus for me. But seeing how well made these are, and knowing that the issues I have are local to my eyes, I have to give it five stars. An excellent headset!
