Neat little device
This is a great little device, but there are much better options now. I would suggest going with a raspberry pi which is cheaper and has a lot more options than this. Buy the latest raspberry pi and a case and you will be way under budget and get more power. You can thank me later!

Great value linux computer
I own 8 Raspberry Pis for various projects, and I wanted to try this as the next step up. Compared to the Pi, it has two gigabit copper ethernet ports, four USB ports, two serial ports with an included DB9 adapter, a power supply, a better processor, and built-in wifi with an antenna. It runs Ubuntu 12.04 out of the box. They also have a download for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on their website- I put the image on the SD card and it started right up, but it just didn't work well with a mouse and keyboard. I'm going to chalk that up to Android. Get a spare 8 GB microsd card so you can play around with multiple configurations. Overall a lot of potential from this little box

Simply amazing!
First of all, I am not in any shape or form associated with CompuLab. Also, I am not easily impressed, but the Utilite unit blew me away. I am in the process of working on an Ubuntu project, and I was looking for a reasonably-priced system, which the Utilite definitely is.I connected the monitor and my wireless keyboard and mouse per USB stick, and the system started right up without any problems. The actual box is tiny (compared to regular desktop solutions) but the performance is great. Especially the monitor resolution is impressive. The processing speed is most certainly less than on high-performance desktop/laptop computers but it is not at all slow. The Ubuntu OS is easy to understand, and in case there remain questions, CompuLab provides an extremely well maintained online documentation and forum (I personally hate forums, but the actual documentation is well organized and very thorough). All in all, if you look for a good Ubuntu machine, but have to work within a tight budget, the Utilite is definitely a great solution. The five stars are well deserved.

I can't install programs and updates
First in description say 8gb solid stage drive but is a micro sd 8gb drive if you want ssd drive you need to buy, second when you update the software never end an say can not install, third when I try install software example chrome web browser or other say is not i386 compatible. Has 2 port LAN, 1 wiffi, Bluetooth, serial. 2 hdmi output that are excellent but if i can't install the applications (i386 compatibility issue) this unit don't work for me.I will try in the forum, but for now only 1 star.

Neat device but not as mature as the beaglebone or raspberry pi.
I like the hardware but this device is severely lacking in available operating systems. I had a terrible time trying to get Debian on it. The Ubuntu desktop that is available from the website is terrible. I ended up settling on Arch Linux which is working for my purposes but not ideal. The developers do seem to be active on the forums with their plans for future releases so I am holding out hope.

Some snags getting it working with a 4k display, but once it's up and going, it's solid and quiet. Ubuntu out of the box
This is a neat device. Very niche as it's an ARM based CPU, but great if you're into building a home 'lab' network. Passive cooling (fanless) and low power consumption means it's good for an 'always-on' device. Try using it as a syslog server or a radius server if you implement WPA2 Enterprise.I haven't yet installed another OS but I suspect is isn't as triviall as using a bootable USB or flash card. We'll see.
