works great
I got this to test out my compression on my moped engines. It worked great. it was a bit hard to use in tight spaces but no more than any other tool would have been. Im happy with it.

It works.
Performed as expected. Results less than desireable, but that's not the tool's fault. I'll attribute the poor compression to a long string of POs on a 45 year old bike.

Incorrect Gauge (replaced by company though) - Will have you thinking about a rebuild...
EDIT: though I was well past the return date because I wasn’t at the point of my tune up to test my compression, as other reviewers said, the customer service was fantastic, and they sent me a replacement gauge. So, you can purchase knowing that if there’s an issue, you will be taken care of by this seller. Thank you!Original review:Pressure not accurate. Did test twice on separate days (because I was so disappointed in my results initially). Yes, my engine was warmed up, yes I had the throttle fully open, and yes the choke was open (not choked). My results were CONSISTENT, but not accurate. Gauge measured 90, 65, 85, 90. Then I did the tsp of oil test down the spark plug wells, and I got 95, 90, 90, 95. Yes, I know no. 2 is a little off, and it would be a concern at this level. I took my bike to my mechanic to weld a hoop on, as I don't have a welder, gave him my numbers and asked him to check for me. I went in today, and he said my compression was fine: 150, 125, 150, 150 and that while no. 2 is a little concerning, its within the range that I'll be O.K. at least for now. Of course, I'm past the return time, so I'm stuck with an inaccurate compression tester.

Multi-adapters fit many engines
Purchased to test compression on my Yamaha Grizzly 350 AWD. Tried to use "free rental" from all local auto parts shops, and their adapters did not fit. Go figure... I don't really need a compression tool often, but this fit perfectly. I have since had need to test generator and power washer compression - easy peasy with this.

Great Gauge!
When purchasing an automotive project, one of the first things I do is to take a compression test to determine the condition of the motor. This tester comes with all the needed attachments and is easy to use! It also comes in a nice case for storage! A great price too!Big Rudy

See picture and please buy a better item! Not worth the false reading!!!
Very disappointed with this product. The 30 day period is over so no easy return and it literally will give you different readings for the same cylinder no matter how many times you try. It also fell apart at the gauge connection and I had to reattach and fix it. I just can’t believe this is sold as an accurate product for someone testing something so important like a car or tractor engine. I used it as a spare compression gauge at my second shop since I can’t have my brand name gauge in both shops. Sadly it will be junked at this point unless the seller will refund me something or accept a return. Please do yourself a favor and buy a much better quality name brand tester even if it means spending significantly more money. What’s the point of using a product that may show you that you have a dead or dying cylinder when in reality it’s fine or acceptable and or shows a good cylinder or acceptable reading on one and in reality it has Cracked rings, cracked piston or gouged sleeves/bores, (see pic attached)!! This gave an acceptable reading which is clearly not possible so the gauge is junk. Please see the picture attached! This cylinder and piston showed 100 psi within acceptable specs for the Allis Chalmers engine I was working on. I knew something was up when all 4 cylinders showed the same reading. In my 30 plus year of professional and hobby small engine/ agriculture mechanic career I have never had all 4 cylinders show the exact same reading, and then another reading 30-50% different on the next test. Very defective item. If you see that picture that piston and bore should have a reading of 0psi and nothing more, period!please find my review helpful if it was, one mechanic trying to help another.Thank you.

You get what you pay for.
The product was okay though the accuracy was barely subpar. To the best of my knowledge the one I received is about 40-50 psi off. I guess for the money I shouldn’t have expected more but it isn’t very impressive, the fittings aren’t as tight as I thought and the seals are cheap and leak. The fitting on the end of the hose (thread end) and the collar that attaches to that fitting have broken apart separately so the seal is now garbage. Worst of all I’ve had the product since July and I am now outside of my return window so I guess product support is out of the question. I could have gotten a bad one but this is truly frustrating, as the readings I have received were passed on to my clients and cost me business, time and money. All in all if you’re using it once or twice you might be safe but a compression tester is something I have learned you will want to use often, so don’t skimp.

Does not provide accurate compression readings
The absence of a check-valve at the engine end adds the tube internal volume to the combustion chamber volume and generates lower-pressure readings. Really bad for engines with small combustion chambers. It gets even worse when used with an extension for those hard-to-reach areas since the internal extension volume also adds up. In that case, results are horrific.
