Hello! After screwing on the lid, fit the loose seal over the top and down onto the neck - then use a heat blower gun or hair dryer to heat the seal which will cause it to shrink tightly over the top.

Q: How does it handle a sparkling wine?

Can't be of help as I use them in a plant watering system, no wine just water.
