Diablo Universal Extension for Drills - For Cordless and Corded Impact and Drill Drivers - 1/4" Hex Shank, 12" Length - DXT1020

I didn't know exactly how much I needed this extension until I got it, and I don't know how I lived my prior life without it. Seriously, I'm very happy with it. It helped me tackle a shelf disassembly job in which I didn't have easy access to many of the screws and bolts. This little extension works very well. It's durable, there's decent magnet strength, it locks with a secure confidence, it's the perfect length at least for the job that I used, and it fits well into an adjustable drill key.

I bought this for one job, but now its come in handy a few times. When you have a screw, nut, bolt or other hard to get too, just extend your tool with this very well made extension. Very happy with the purchase!

I needed to boar out about .100" from the inside of an aluminum heavy wall pipe using a Spiral Flute Cobalt Step Drill Bit. I needed to go in 12" but the extension bit holder I had, kept letting go of the bit and when its inside an aluminum pipe it is not easy to get back out. I had seen good write-ups on the diablo bit extensions so I figured I would give it a try. I ended up putting the bit in the extension and it held like it was welded in. I was able to use the Spiral Flute Cobalt Step Drill Bit to boar out four pipes and the extension did not let the bit go in any of the process. If you are looking for an extension that will really hold the bit and not let it go then look no further than the Diablo by Freud Universal Extension. Out of a Rating of 1 through 10, I would give this a 20+ !

I need something to get deep in a hole and ream it back to straight. I fully expected to break this item. I put a ton of side load on it, plus tots of tension with a 3/4” step drill on the end of it. Holy crud! Didn’t bend. My step drill bit stayed locked in place. Plenty deep enough for my use. Saved me from disassembling the project and restarting. I look forward to using this extension on many more projects. The affordability, and durability makes this a worthy investment.

I needed some extensions to position a right angle adapter 3 feet away to drill a vertical hole in an inaccessible location, so I ordered two of these extensions from Diablo to complement my existing Irwin 12" non-impact extension. I chose the Diablo because unlike the slightly less expensive standard extension from Irwin these are made of hardened steel and supposedly are "Impact Strong" to work better with impact drivers.Initial impressions were good - the Diablo looks well made and the quick release operates smoothly. I tested my long setup on a pilot hole and the Diablo's release mechanism jammed up. Once I got it released they worked fine after that.When it came time to drill the hole the Diablo's didn't let me down. The impact driver kicked in quite a few times when drilling the hole but eventually it went through all the way with no fuss, and the Diablo's separated easily when it came time to take things apart.So, net-net is they worked well. Time will tell whether they jam up again but so far so good.

Great addition to my toolboxBought initially to use with cordless drill and std bits to reach anywhere and this does it perfectly.Recently I found another use. I put a small wood paddle bit on this and used it for spot aerating my lawn without having to get on my knees!Build quality is great and cost is very reasonable.

Works good. Better than set screw types.

Very sturdy, extremely helpful when needed. Its actually quite amazing how many times I have reached in and added this to the drill sense I bought it. The quick connect works great too.
