Price wise, perfection.
Having built many computers in my life, Asus has been a common name in my parts. My current computer has an older MATX Asus board, and this recent purchase for a friends computer was a no-brainer. For a simple no-thrills computer, it works perfectly, and at the price-point, there is little to argue about. Having had a range of low range to high-end motherboards in the past, I can wholeheartedly say I am more comfortable with these lower range models. Less features in most cases can be a relief as there are less elements of the board that can go wrong or cause hardware/software issues. If you are not interested in overclocking, or having the highest-market components and don't have too many expansion needs, these boards simply can handle it and last for years on years. The only issue I have is limited case fan headers, however if only using 3 or 4 of the same case fans on Y splitters, no worries.

Very Good Price For This Motherboard From My Perspective
I don't do recommendations what might be good for me may not be for you also only all 4 stars as there is no such thing as 5 out of 5 always leaves room for improvement. This was an upgrade from an A320M I find B450M work and perform better got this paired with a Ryzen 3 4300GE and 24GB HyperX 2400, Arctic Freezer 13. It is just as fast and snappy as my 5 4500 and 3 3600 in B450M Pro Boards with Win 11 Pro Edition. Very Pleased with this so far.

Perfect for budget build.
Note: Only one case fan header but no biggie (used fan splitter).

Good cheap motherboard
I bought this as a cheap, no frills motherboard from a reputable manufacturer to use for general work with a 6-core Zen+ processor with the flexibility to upgrade easily in the future, and it seems to do the job fine. It has nothing fancy, just 6 phase power with no heat sinks on the VRMs or anything and only 2 DIMM slots, which is really all you need when you can get up to 32GB memory sticks these days. There is a good array of USB ports and a PS/2 port which is useful for those like me that still have a keyboard or mouse that can use it, a bios reset button if you ever need it, and not much else apart from the usual ethernet, audio and video connectors. The VGA and even the DVI are pretty pointless these days as you can just convert HDMI to either of these anyway if you need. My processor does not have graphics built in, and I could only use the graphics card HDMI output with my old VGA monitor, so I just bought a cheap converter lead from eBay for less than £4 which did the trick. There is a standard suite of internal connectors and headers, two PCIe x 1 slots (if using a no more than a single slot graphics card) and a single M.2 slot, which is as much as you can expect from a budget board. A second M.2 slot for a wireless card would have been welcome in place of the VGA and DVI outputs. The most surprising aspect of the board was the M.2 standoff, or lack of it, as the board has 3 empty holes for different size drives, but no standoff screw, which I found very annoying as I thought I was going to have to try to source a replacement. However, it turns out that they have actually included a plastic tag instead that clips into the desired hole and holds the drive in place when fitted. Whilst this does actually work, it seems incredible that they have gone to such lengths to avoid having to shell out for a conventional standoff. It was delivered free in 2 or 3 working days with zero packaging (check the default on the delivery page to change this), but thankfully was complete and undamaged. The delivery went smoothly, but I am not sure what they would have done if nobody had been in. *** 03/03/2024 It appears that some other people are having difficulty finding the M.2 anchor, so I have added a picture of it from the manufacturer's website as it is so easily overlooked!
