Only brand I buy
Couldn't beat the price and I am not lotlyal to many brands overall, but I learned years agi not to bother with anything but Schmetz needles for my machines. I thought I was a terrible sewist until I finally tried Schmetz. Doesn't matter what fabric you have, just match the needle type and size (eg universal, microtex, jersey, denim...) and your job becomes exponentially easier. Not going to say they perfected my sewing - even Schmetz needles can't do that, -but they tend to last for quite a while. Few skipped stitches, bent needles, etc. At least not on my vintage Viking machine. The quality is reliably excellent every time, every pack, every size and type. Do yourself a favor and just use Schmetz for your home machine. You'll never go back to the other brands (others might seem like a better deal, but by the time you throw out half a pack on one project because they broke or bent, you will have saved money)

Schmetz Needles are Strong, Sharp and Rarely Break.
I use these in my serger. They are quality needles. Strong, sharp points and rarely break. I only change needles if I accidentally break a needle by sewing over a pin, or by pulling the fabric and jamming or bending the needle which RARELY happens. I use these needles for all types of fabric. I don’t need to change to stretch needles or such.

Awesome brand of needles!
In the quilting group, really good quilters rave about this Schmetz brand of needles. I started using them years ago and really like them, too. Using the right size and type for the material is important. Some of us quilters use the Schmetz jersey needles when quilting our quilts because they don’t leave any holes, which is wonderful when you have to remove stitches! I use these Universal ones for piecing the fabrics for my quilts.

I use these types of needles for my sewing and serging machines
I use these types of needles for my sewing and serging machines. There are a lot of different brands of needles for sale today. I have used this brand for years and it is only recently that I tried to get these on Amazon. One needs to be very careful to get the actual needle that one needs. I am looking for a specific needle and when I find it I want to get it in bulk. If there is one thing I have used a lot of it is fabric and needles. These needles have a flat area on the needle stem. So it is important if that is what you need that is what you purchase. These needles are strong and sharp. So they don't break easily. I use these needles daily. Jacquie
