Easy to read with practical tips and advice you can implement now
This workbook is wonderful. I found it easy to read (but it did not insult my intelligence!) and follow. Dr. All explains the brain science behind memory in such a clear and easy-to-understand format. The tips and actionable advice are presented in a hands-on manner that really helps to practice them and figure out which will be most useful to you. I love that her goal is for people to live independently longer. Sounds like a great goal to me and understanding memory and brain health is the key! Everyone should read this book.

Not what I expected
I had hoped there would be mental exercises for memory, comprehension etc. The book held good information for the aging brain, but it didn’t include exercises. I returned the book.

Anyone who wants to prevent memory loss should read this book.
The key to avoiding memory loss is not reducing plaque but increasing cognitive reserve. The Neuroscience of Memory explains the seven components for doing that, and those components are essentially simple lifestyle habits. This book is not just for those who think they’re having memory problems; everyone over thirty needs this information. It’s kinda like skincare and physical fitness: start early for the best results. This book is empowering because it’s understandable, approachable, and doable. Buy this book, implement the skills, and rest easy knowing that you are being proactive about preventing memory loss. The Neuroscience of Memory is really the only book you need to learn how to take care of your memory.
