Wild Kratts: Jungle Animals

Son loves wild kratts and loves this dvd

Bought this for my 2YO and 4YO to watch in the van on our vacation. They love Wild Kratts and asked to watch multiple times!

Grandkids love it!

My 5 year old loves this show. We set the DVR and record it everyday. I wanted a DVD with some episodes for watching on trips in the car. She learns so much about the animals and remembers it all. We will be sitting down at dinner and she will say, "Did you know that male lions "spray" (pee) backwards?" Apparently she thought this was a funny fact. I asked her why they do this. She said to "mark their territory". I don't think the lion episode is on this DVD. This was just an example of some of the knowledge she retained from watching this show. Her father, older sister (high school age) and I have also learned some great facts about animals. This is a highly educational show and great for all animal lovers.

This is one of the best educational shows out there for young children today. The Kratt brothers (the live action, real live humans) are so enthusiastic, and you can tell they genuinely love animals and teaching about them. The animated show teaches children the importance of habitat and species conservation, and they learn about the super cool things different creatures do in the wild. (I'd never even heard of a basilisk lizard until my four-year-old told me all about it.) The show does not talk down to children, or use baby-talk or one-syllable words to teach them. (I'm sorry, Wonder Pets, but you got old real fast.)

I cannot say enough good about the Wild Kratts. We love the show. I frequently watch with the boys and they learn so much about some pretty random animals. But they have a very fact based show mixed with enough imagination to keep the boys interested in watching them over and over again. My son has often come to me telling me about one that I may have missed while doing other house hold chores. I am glad to have something more educational and less crass than say spongebob to put on for my boys.

Amazing Show! My kids love this. I may have to agree. The animation can catch the children's eyes, and they will either side with the Wild Kratts or with some of the villains. Interesting animal facts too! I would 10/10 always recommend this!

Honestly, there is nothing else out there like this. I know TV is evil, and breeds ADHD and other issues in kids, but sometimes parents need a break. I have no patience for non-PBS shows (NO gabba gabba, no...), and most other PBS shows are kind of sucky too. Caillou? Oy. Even Sesame Street - a childhood classic seems like a breeding ground for attention problems with it's tiny segments.Kratt Bros bring it home! Educational (my kids knows amazing facts about creatures now), a good length that doesn't seem too jerky/MTV-ready. I don't love that there are villains, or that the Jimmy Z character is totally addicted to video games and junk food, but, Chris, Martin, Aviva, and Koki are all pretty good role models with a commendable mission and message - creatures like it best living free and in the wild!Go Kratts!
