10 minute job, first replacement after 10+ years. Odd that Amazon does not carry the PCV hose; this was available at the local Subaru dealer. Replace the hose at the same time. It is cooked and brittle by this point. Old PCV valve didn’t ’rattle’, new one is good to go.

OEM replacement for my 11 Legacy.

Most PCV valves rattle when you shake them. This one does not. Not even the brand new one I bought. I can blow thru the old one and the new one. Old one is not carboned up. I only bought new one since my 2010 Subaru Outback, 2.5 L, is 15 years old and had the original PCV valve. The old and the new seem the same as far as being able to blow thru them. 5 stars for fast shipping. I will replace the old one even though I do not think I need a new one. I had to cut the packaging open to test blow it.
