Another excellent Grohe product. This feels like quality as soon as you take out of the box, reassuringly heavy, highly polished chrome finish, it really looks the part in our bathroom. The temperature and divert controls have a real quality feel to them. Very pleased with my choice, would definitely recommend.

Very easy to install. Very easy to use.

Good quality and heat resistant. Not a fan of the plastic but i guess it's needed to stop the mixer becoming dangerously hot. also of interest is the temp control is on the left of the mixer and a lot of them are on the right.

High quality and well made

Body is very solid and seems to be well plated. Twist handles are amazingly light and feel flimsy - even for plastic. Shame, because it's a smart unit. It's a little bigger/chunkier than my last bar and I suspect many of the other options. I have minor concerns about the knurled grips on the handles too. They're very grippy which is great, but I'm not sure quite how you'd clean ingrained dirt/limescale off them. The bar seems to operate very smoothly and the flow and temperature controls work as expected. The flow control is on the RIGHT of the unit (many are on the left). Subjectively, the flow rate is fairly decent on maximum but won't put your masseur out of a job. Note: 1. It doesn't come with any shower hose or head (probably written clearly and down to me not reading the blurb properly 😆) 2. Although the offset was the same as my old shower, the pipes didn't protrude from the wall far enough for me to use the supplied round chrome-plated back plates. More importantly, even using the backplate from my old unit, the exposed thread from the wall wasn't long enough to reach the sealing washer in the shower bar with the nuts fully tightened, and I had to use multiple washers to "space" the seal. Eww. So, if you're hoping to do a quick swap like I was, make sure you're prepared with spare washers (or to use the washers from them old unit). 3. The supplied spanner is brilliant for the job, having plastic caps to protect the chrome as you're tightening it up. To summarise, mostly great. Shame about the handles, but my nuts have never looked so good.

Shower now fitted, looks very smart, and the thermostat keeps the water at the perfect temperature. I hope it stays like that for years. PS I’ve tried registering this for the 5 year guarantee and it’s complicated!!!
