DEWHEL JDM Universal 5 Speed Manual Shift Knob M10x1.5 Screw On Red

Replaced my stock shifter on my 2002 civic SI aka the ep3 model. I purchased the car used and the original stock shifter didnt age too well it was cracked on top and looked as if whatever gel was cracking. This replacement on the car was a tiny bit shorter than the original so you see some metal not covered by the shift boot. But overall its so minimal. Feels a tiny bit heavier than the original and feels the quality is pretty well made.Pros:Shiny metallic red with white numbers. Ill update this if it begins to fade out (knob or numbers).Easy install on the ep3 literally just unscrew the original and screw this in.They added an additional screw i believe this might be an adapter. But the long black stock adapter that was already inside worked well and sits snug. The knob does not spin off.Feels heavier.Cons:Lining up the numbers took me a while i kept screwing it on multiple times for a few minutes trying to figure out why it kept stopping sitting upside down. If you habe an issue with this. Heres what i did.Twist it tighter till its lined up. I felt it was already too snug, but actually needed to tighten it a little more. Also adding tissue to the inside of it little by little and trying multiple times until it lines up helped alot to line up the numbers on top.

Easy to remove the shift boot panel, and then use a washer to keep the boot from sagging.Great look

The black color looks good, and it feels pretty sturdy. Installation was simple, and it fit my car perfectly. The grip is comfortable, though it’s a little smaller than I expected. For the price, it’s a great option if you’re looking for something simple and functional.

I'm old enough to remember when you could still buy DC2s & EM1s new at the dealership.Back then, even Type R shift knob knock offs like these were $50+ and often even more $$$.This thing is fantastic, especially considering the cost is now what you'd pay for a month of Netflix. I tested this shift knob vs. a brand new OEM DC2 LS shift knob back-to-back and preferred this one.

dead-easy install... looks nice, has good heft to it. Lock-nut has not backed out since I installed a month and a half ago. I have had it bake in the sun on a couple of hot days... yeah it's hot to the touch but it dissipates. I don't regret getting black/red lettering, it's possible other finishes would reflect heat better or retain it less, I can only speculate, doesn't bother me.one potential con that doesn't bother me, but might bother others... you will need to figure out shift boot clamping on your own, this knob doesn't seem to have any provisions for boot retention.

I really like it looks fope BUT.. honeslty it jst slowly screws off here and there and really annoys but its worth the cash if you want to change the stock knob not to big like others i seen slim and feels great
