Does the job, but can't fit 20pcs in it
It's magnetic and comes with stick on magnets just in case. Fairly sturdy, although too long in a damp bathroom might cause it to deteriorate. The space inside didn't fit 20 pieces, so measure properly before buying!

Great for consolidating makeup.
Once I learned about depotting my eyeshadows I converted one of my old cardboard urban decay palettes into a DIY custom palette that consolidated my favorite shadows from three separate palettes into one. It worked great but it was in no way refillable. Then i found out about magnetic palettes. A ha! I first bought one in a”mermaid” color. Again Iconsokidated several palettes into one but there were some shadow casualties in the process it can be hard to get a show de potted without gouging into the shadow and ruining it. So always practice on some shawdows you dont care much about first. My mermaid magnetic palette can with a tool to use but i found it to be much too thick to gdt between the tiny metal edge of each shawdow and its cardboard or plastic case. Hot tip- i ended up using one of those pimple popping sticks. Also do take the time to warm up your palettes to loosen the glue that holds each shadow in. I put mine on a heating pad and covered them with a hand towel until i was ready to come back and start taking things apart. If you're lucky the shadow will come out easily and will have a smooth metal back. But if not that's what the little metal plates included with the palette are for. I had trouble with some of the plates not staying stuck to the back of the shadows so i just used a very small dab of mod podge. Just be sure to let the glue dry before placing the shadows into the palette. I would not try this process with my $65 Huda palette.
