Can this product be used indoors? Or does it stink too bad?

Anyone know the effective range of this trap? How many should you have on your property per 1000 sq ft for example?

I live on a semi rural two acre lot. I do a lot of grilling and outdoor cooking. Before I started using traps, flies would cover my deck area as soon as I lit the grill. I put up one bag type trap about two years ago, 75 feet from my deck and about 20 feet from my trash cans and in a month it was bursting at the seams. I replaced it with another and it never did fill up completely before winter. The fly population around my back yard was almost wiped out. I switched to these because the squirrels were tearing the bags. They both work equally well. I'm on my second one this year and it's about half full. Almost no problem around my deck. I just use one at a time. How many you need would depend on your fly problem I guess. If your on a farm with livestock you would probably need a lot. If your like me one or two would probably be enough. I'm no fly expert but I understand they are territorial and stay close to a given area. This has proven out at my home. Remember, the smell from the bait is pretty bad so you don't want them too close to patios or decks, and upstream of prevailing winds.

Can I just throw it away once filled? I'd rather do that than deal with the stink.

Absolutely. I usually use a ziploc bag, picking the full trap up through the bag so I never have to touch the trap. I seal the bag and wrap it in several other bags. A word of caution - only collect the trap for disposal as soon prior to your trash collection as possible, as once it goes into an enclosed garbage can, the smell will proliferate. They are very effective traps, and worth the special handling they need for disposal.

Any ideas on where I can hang these in my back yard since I have no trees? I have a patio and gazebo but we eat there and don’t want horrid smell

Buy a 3 ft. high hanging plant pole with ground stake. They are not expensive. You can find them here at amazon, walmart.com or your at your local Lowe's or garden center store. Drive the stake into the ground 50 feet away from your house. The trap attractant and dead flies smell bad enough to make you gag. (Like a full dumpster on a hot day!). Don’t worry about the 50 ft. distance, the trap will attract and catch zillions of flies and keep them away from your outdoor living space. This stuff works like a charm. If the soil is too hard to drive the stake (drive = stand on it and stomp), drench the soil with a water hose first. Try not to get the soil wet outside the parameter of the stake width. If you have sandy, loamy of soft soil, you can always surround the pole with rocks to make it sturdy.
