This is not your everyday toy, really solid truck that survives small kids on the “driver” seat. A bit expensive for a toy, but it is durable.

We purchased this truck in December of '22 as a Christmas gift for our then 3 and 1 year old. They loved it and still do. Our house can be very "destructive" to cheap plastic toys, but despite consistent use this truck has held up very well. We have misplaced one or two of the stabilizer legs and the hook keeper on the front of the truck had to be super glued back on (although you could do without it). Once or twice we have had to re-string the cable, which is very easy. And one of the mirrors succumbed to constant attempts to remove it. But none of these things has detracted from the enjoyment of this toy at all. The hook is a sturdy metal - no fun ruined from a bent or cracked hook. The cable gear mechanism works great still. The extension and angle knobs still work great, despite being driven past their maximum and minimum many times. A few reviews mention that the doors do not open, which we think is a good thing because I suspect they would just get broken off anyway. Overall, after a year of it being loved, used, and abused, 10/10 I would recommend this truck.

I purchased this crane for my 3 1/2 year old son, who loves all things related to trucks. The crane is made of plastic, but is a very high-quality plastic that is strong and very realistic-looking. The detail is amazing, and reminds me of the metal toy trucks that I had when I was a young boy. The crane has a working winch and weighted hook, extendable crane arm, rotating crane platform, a tilting cab to reveal the engine, lateral stabilizer arms for the job site, etc. Bruder, the german manufacturer of this product, makes an extensive line of toy construction equipment that should keep young engineers busy for many years to come. Highly recommended.

I got this toy for my 4yr old Nephew who is in India. After seeing utility vehicles near construction sites, his interest grew up and he became obsessed with construction toys. He started requesting my sister for Concrete Mixer and Crane. He got a cheap plastic concrete mixture and he was happy, while the thought of not having crane in his construction set was still in his mind. In same time I saw this Bruder Crane truck in amazon and ordered. I took this while it was still packed in its cover when I went to India. The reason I am saying this is because I didn't take any extra care to pack this and it survived in the hands of Cargo men from a 24 hr air travel with multiple transit. It has been 4 months now and my Nephew still treats it like a new toy and plays with it and like all its features. The cast iron hook has the sturdiness of real crane and can lift some heavy weights. The nylon thread is also of superior quality and won't give up soon. Overall it is a good buy and I am sure any kid in the age range of 3 to 7 is going to love this.It is costly and it is not available in ToysRus, Target and Walmart. For this price I hope it last for many years and and if it last long you can either save it as a remembrance item or give this up to another young toddler in your family or you can donate it to a kid for a smile. There are no sharp or protruding things which can harm tender hands, the plastic is good and soft. The thread sometimes used to get messed which can be unwind-ed only by an adult who is gifted with some patients.

I got this for my son for Christmas and it was a hit. The material is SUPER durable. I’m so impressed with the material, quality, features, and move ability. I’m absolutely buying this brand of construction vehicles in the future for my son. Only downfall is it’s a little too advanced for my 2.5 year old. He loves the tow hook and size but the other cool features he can’t maneuver yet. I might wait till he’s closer to 4 before I buy more.

He said he needed a crane to pick things up.He loves it. Its a substantial kid sized working crane, he can use without help ( much to the disappointment of his dad)Bruder toys are well made, but they will break if you abuse them, Fortunately Bruder sells replacement parts too,

From my 4-year-old: "I like to lift stuff with it. I play construction with it. Play building houses. Play with it with my friends. Play with it with my mom and dad. That's all." Like all Bruder trucks, this one is very well made. The stabilizers don't pull out from under the truck, they're clipped onto the back and you have to slide them into the slots. Getting them back into the clips at the back was harder for my son. The rope to the hook is silvery so it looks sort of like a cable, which is nice. The hook itself is metal and quite heavy. It's been a good physics lesson to figure out that in order to extend the boom, the hook has to be lowered so there is enough rope for the boom to slide out under!

We bought this crane for my 3 year old son for Christmas. He was so excited to see it on Christmas day. We were nervous purchasing a crane online as we were concerned we would get something that was well beyond his developmental level or just some cheap toy that would fall apart with his rough play. It hasn't been long, but this crane seems very well made and sturdy. He is able to work the hook and reel. He loves how the front opens to expose the engine too. Very cute and detailed, but not so much so that he would break it easily. The only thing he has complained about is that the doors don't open. Overall, great purchase!
