Q: By chance is this similar to the one in the blue tub? I love that blistex but i hate dipping my fingers in it then on my lips.

Other people are answering about the applicator but you're asking about the contents. The answer is no, it's not the same stuff as the blue tub but it's much better. The blue tub (and pretty much all other balms in tub or stick form) are basically just grease that sits on your lip and prevents moisture from leaving. This is a thin lotion that mostly soaks into your lip , adding moisture and delivering medicine that helps it heal up and stay soft. I got very familiar with this stuff when I was a teenager on accutaine. There's literally nothing else I'll even consider for chapped lips.

Yes! Strong medication & ingrediants feel that way. But it works!
