I used to get keratin treatments at the salon but then learned to do it myself. It takes half the time for a fraction of the cost. I have long wavy/frizzy/fine hair and use this treatment two- three times per year. Be careful not to do treatments sooner than 12 weeks apart or your hair may start to break off easily. Mine did until I cut back to once every 5 months.I have been using this brand for about 12 years. I use it to nourish my hair, keep the hair strong but most importantly to lessen the time it takes for my hair to dry.It does smooth out curls but not pin straight. . It burns your eyes during the heating parts (blow drying and straightening) but that’s how I knew it was as strong as the ones I liked from the salon.

Estoy encantada con esta keratina. Desde la primera aplicación noté mi cabello mucho más suave, sin frizz y con un brillo espectacular. El alisado se mantiene por semanas y me facilita muchísimo el peinado. Además, el producto tiene un aroma agradable y no irritó mi cuero cabelludo. ¡Definitivamente la volvería a usar y la recomiendo con los ojos cerrados!

I have to say this is amazing product to straighten your hair if it’s frizzy but it’s very powerful fumes. It does work very well for my hair and keeps it straight for a few months.

I was lazy and put off this review, but it’s been about a month and my hair is almost as glossy & frizz free as when I first did the treatment. So I expect that next time I do it, the results will be even better!I naturally have a lot of wavy, frizzy, tangled prone hair. After using this product however, I don’t really have these issues anymore. It’s very manageable now, and I have less breakage. My hair is also very strong and straight. All my little flyaways & baby hairs do not curl up and look crazy in humidity anymore. Before I would use a ton of hairspray to try to tame the flyways, but the results could not even compare to what this product does for my hair.While using this product I personally do not wash my hair until I have to. Despite the instructions saying you can immediately. I like to wait as long as I can before washing.There is one downside though, my hair used to have a lot of natural volume. I could flip my hair a few times and have incredible volume. But now it stays flat unless I use a root spray. My hair also has difficulty with holding curls now even with styling products. Another issue is a lot of my wavy hair products I used before that worked well on my hair, now weigh down my hair a ton and no longer work for me. I also have to wash my hair more frequently now, I used to be able to go almost a full week without washing. My hair now gets noticeably greasy after 2-3 days.I figured I would mention this because I was expecting it to be more sleek, and shiny, with less flyways. But it actually changed the texture, appearance, and the way my hair normally acts. If you are a proud wavy/curly girl, I’m not sure if you want to use this because it may permanently change that for you!I personally don’t mind it because I hated dealing with my hair before, looking forward to my next treatment. I probably have a good 5 treatments left too, so it’s worth the price!Make sure to use gloves, and apply in a well ventilated area. Not only do you not want to breath in the fumes, but they can also irritate your eyes! Next time I do mine, I’m going to do it outside.Edit (follow):It’s now November 2023, and I’m still a fan of this product. The chemicals are very strong but I’ve done about 4 spaced out treatments so far since I got it. And the parts that are treated look different from my natural hair. I now have a long lasting Pantene commercial shine on my hair. Staying it has become a bit more difficult now because my hair is now stays straighter and is more “slippery” than normal. So it no longer holds a curl like it used to without either doing it overnight or using a lot of heat. Overtime it’s become a lot less frizzy and naturally more manageable. I also still have a good portion of the bottle left (about 6 treatments I would say!) The chemicals do burn the eyes though so I normally do this outside or in a room with the window/fan on with a mask because it’s intense. But the effect it has on my hair is just worth it to me.

I have very thick and frizzy hair. Using this product was easy albeit a bit time consuming. However, it was worth it! After using the product my hair was softer and a lot more tame. Did I still have to style it? Yes however, as mentioned I have unmanageable hair. But my styling time was cut down A LOT. Will definitely continue using. I will leave some notes:- Make sure you have A LOT of ventilation, this product has a very powerful and irritating smell. It is better to use this product outside during styling. My eyes were irritated from the fumes and the smell was awful.- You may have to wash your hair more frequently. My hair usually takes a good 4 days before it’s oily however with my treated hair, my hair gets oily rather quickly (2 days)- If you like to curl or blow dry your hair, your hair may not retain the style as long as it did prior to the treatment. It will fall a lot more quickly.

Longer answer: First - I am one of those people who doesn’t write reviews, but here goes. Forgive me for the length. Have you ever seen Leanne Morgan talking about chicken fuzz hair w/menopause? If not, Google it. Anyway, that’s how I feel. I’m over 50. I don’t want to look 20, but I do like beautiful hair. Over the last few months, the chicken fuzz hair has been unmanageable. So I thought ok, let’s try an online thing and found this product. Ordered it, got it, did the process.For reference, I have very long, fine hair.If you choose to move forward with this chemical treatment, pay attention to everyone when they say to do it in a well ventilated area. I started slathering the product on, and within 10 minutes, my house was unbearable. My eyes were watering (badly, very badly). I knew I couldn’t stop so I pressed on. By 30 minutes in, every place the slathered hair touched my face and skin was burning. My nose hairs, mouth, and lungs felt like they were burning with every breath I took. I’d press on with the steps and run outside when my eyes, nose, and lungs couldn’t take it anymore. The blow dry and straightening were absolutely awful. I nearly couldn’t do it. After 100% done w/process, I HAD to shower and wash my hair. NO ONE should sleep with this stuff just lingering on their hair.And so. I’m done. Hair does seem better. Great. Will I try this again? Absolutely not. I plan on throwing bowls, combs, brushes, towels, and potentially even the tools I used away.Bottom line: save your money and find a reputable professional and pay for a treatment,, find another online option with better reviews, or…live with the fuzz and straighten forever.
