I cannot fold it in half in half. Previous suggestions are to lay it flat and then fold it in one go but that doesn't work. Defective?

I too cannot fold it in half to carry it as the photo says. The instructions are not clear. I have Googled others but no one shows how to fold in half. Have you found out yet? I did Send to support to get help. But hoping you know.
