After about a months use, it smells horrible. How do I get the smell out?

I do hot yoga 4-5 times a week and sweat all over my mat & it smells AWFUL. I've cleaned it, scrubbed it down with hot soapy water & tea tree oil and have soaked it in a bath tub and it's still bad. I admit, I was bad about rolling it up still wet and not letting it air out in the beginning. I've only used it for 2 months and child's pose is almost unbearable. It's really hard to "arrive on my mat" when it smells so bad.

Does the squeakness go away eventually? I am afraid to use this mat since I don't want the squeakness intrupt other students at my yoga studio.

The mat only squeaks at one of the places where I practice yoga. That facility has a wood floor. The other studio where I practice has concrete floors and I’ve never noticed the noise there. I think it depends more on the surface, but it squeaks just as much now as when I first bought it

Is iuga mat surface smooth or textured? are the striations of color in picture of the mat - a design or actual texture in top layer of the mat?

The mat is smooth on top and textured on the bottom so it doesn’t move on the floor. The color variation is just a design.
