Our unique blade design provides you with two separate cutting edges. The first set of edges, also known as the wing blades, are used for cutting the hide and the first set of ribs. These blades are also used to open the Broadhead, and are much smaller than the main blades. They take the most punishment by cutting through the hair, dirt, hide, and bones during entry. The smaller blades take less energy to penetrate through the first side than an open on impact Broadhead. These wing blades also provide a load bearing surface for the ferrule during impact. The second set of edges, or the main blades do not touch anything during the initial penetration. They still have virgin edges when they open in the body cavity. This allows the main blades to remain razor sharp for the internal organs.

Very impressed!
I normally don't write reviews unless it really needs it. This broadhead needs to be bragged about! I've been bowhunting for 32 seasons and have always used fixed blade, mainly good old Muzzy. But a few years back I switched to a crossbow due to shoulder issues and switched to mechanical broadheads as tuning is an issue with crossbows. When I switched I tried Rage and loved them. Devastating wound channels and easy blood trails. The issue was the broadheads were usually junk after one shot, and if the broadhead was ok the blades usually looked like you took a pliers to them! My niece's husband suggested I try Swhacker, as he uses the two blade out of his compound and loves them. So since I've always been partial to three blades I did some research and figured I'd try these! I'm not going back! I absolutely love these! I shot the first deer early this month and was blown away by how good the broadhead looked after cleaning it up! The blades looked like they were brand new! Still razor sharp! There is something to be said about the design of the blades being saved till after entry to deploy. And the entrance is still .875" which is really close to my old Muzzy cutting diameter! Well since the head looked so good I figured I would use it again. Well tonight I shot another one and the blades looked great again! One blade had just a little sharpness gone, so I gave it 5 light strokes with my carbide sharpener and it's super sharp again! It's ready for another deer! Unbelievable! I highly recommend these!

They perform EXACTLY as advertised
I bought a Ravin R-15 that shoots 440 feet per second and figured there was enough power to accommodate a three blade broadhead. I had been using the Shwacker 2 blade previously and loved them so I thought I would try the 3 blade version. The 3 blade shoots identically to the field point and yes, they also shoot just like the 2 blade version...no scope adjustments necessary. I have had a unique opportunity to put these broadheads to the ultimate field test hunting with the local Police Department to implement herd control on the local deer population. I have shot 27 deer with the Shwacker 3 blade and can tell you first had that I have not had a single malfunction with the blades opening on impact. I have shot deer from 12 yards all the way out to 52 yards and in every case the wounds are substantial and in only one case did the deer go further than 30 yards before expiring. I can't say enough good about these broadheads.

Awesome Product
I used this swacker 3 blade with my 400 fps Crossbow. It is not noted on the package that it would be ok with high speed, but I read another review that said they used it on 400 fps, so I tried it. They work well because I have the shorter bolts and the blades don't stick out as far as the 2 blade swacker. Also the 2 blade swacker wrecked my bolt every time(it wrecked 4 bolts), when it swings open, it cracks the end of the bolt. The 3 blade doesn't have this flaw. Got 2 deer this year with the 3 blade, both fell within eyesight. Devastating wound channels. Update 11/20 2018. Shot a deer through the shoulder blade clean through deer and into the ground 3 inches. no other broadhead compares to 3 blade swacker. Also shot a buck quartering towards and bolt went right through brisket and out other side. didn't run too far exceptional blood trail.

Great product.
Well, I shot a whitetail doe and it only made it 50 yards. The only problem was I had very little blood until the last 15 yards, even though it had sliced the heart. But there was a lot of blood where she expired. The blades exhibited no dulling that I could tell when compared to a brand new broadhead, even though I had a pass through with the broadhead buried 3 inches in the dirt. After having several rage broadheads with snapped off blades, it was a welcome site. Also, I like the shrink band concept, after having other brands of mechanical broadheads open on me while just walking around. Hard to make a clean shot with a blade dangling at full draw!

As good as advertised!
Killed my first archery doe with these. The practice head flies the same as my practice points and the same with the broadhead. Busted thru the ribs and into the other shoulder on a quarter away shot. Will reuse the same braodhead again. Did major trama to the interior shoulder. She didnt make it 80 yards. Yesterday Killed another doe with another brand broadhead and wont use it again. The other brand didnt make much of a hole.

Great value for a broadhead
I've been stocking up on these, especially as the price keeps dropping. I don't think there's a better head for the money. Shot 1 doe, she dropped within 70 yards in sight. As for the one review where he got no penetration, sorry but 220 fps is imo too slow for any mechanical head. Even the fastest crossbows have trouble penetrating through solid bone, don't knock the heads because of a bad shot.

Shot placement is still important
The only reason for 4 stars is the small entrance hole, but that is by design. They pierce then open. The poor reviews I read have more to do with shot placement than broad head performance. Never lost a deer that I have shot with them yet.

Effects on deer
I liked the looks of the blades & felt confident it would do the job. Unfortunately I was unable to see the effects it would have on a deer. Never had a legal deer close enough for a shot.

Stick with 2 blade
Stick with your 2 blade, this 3 blade failed to open on a large black bear for me this spring , 3 inches of penetration at most and obviously lost the animal. 2 blade is a proven performer.
