Does anyone have issues driving a 4K monitor?

I do not have any issues. In theory, one can drive two such monitors

Does this dock have the problem black screen? I am using a cheap hub with 3 monitors, but it often all screens go black for a few seconds.

Unfortunately yes. Overall it isn’t bad but it is far from perfect. The 2 display ports are pretty relatable. But driving the third monitor from the usb c port is pretty flaky. It’s annoying but easily fixable. I’ve found that having the right bios. And dock forward helps. But each update they put out sometimes breaks the balance. I have a caldigit dock and it is really flaky. This one is definitely better than the caldigit dock

Can anyone verify that this works with the P53 and P73 workstation laptops? Many thanks!

The P53 and P73 use lenovo part # 40ANY230US . Part # 40an0230us is a discontinued item by lenovo due to quality issues. The replacement and newest lenovo dock is part # 40ANY230US

Will this drive 3 monitors on dp/dp/hdmi each running at 2560x1440 resolution?

I do not know this. I know that it can drive 2 4K monitors. By the way, if you have the 4K screen, it would not work with 2560 x 1440 monitors. I think that this docking station can only drive two 4K monitors connected by DisplayPort. It does not play well with the HDMI port. However, it is getting firmware updates regularly
