Good junction box for my flat towing project. Make sure to leave enough slack in the wires to splice them in the box. Box lid sealed well and gave the project a more finished look.

These boxes are excellent for electronic projects. They’re truly waterproof and come with cable glands, which makes wiring clean and secure. The rubber seal works perfectly—I’ve had a couple installed outdoors with my Meshtastic radios for months now, and they’re still performing flawlessly with no moisture inside. I've purchased several of these boxes to use for various raspberry pi zero projects and they work wonderfully. The included wire seals are excellent and they work great for either waterproofing your cables or taking the strain off whatever you mount inside the box. The seal seems to work great and although I haven't tested the waterproofing, they definitely make a huge difference in the sound coming from relays I've put in these things.

took quite a bit more time to get the silicon string installed in the recess around the lid's edge as thought it would. to get it in the narrow channel, I had to pull it pretty tight, leaving me with quite a bit of excess, causing me concern over the waterproofing since there's less material to make the seal. other than that, pretty great box. only additional complaint directed solely at myself for guessing at the actual size of my power supply, and not actually measuring it to ensure I had enough headroom in side the box. 🤦

I purchased this box for a DIFFERENT application than what it was designed to do. I used this to stub out the plumbing for a surface mount shower assembly. It was the perfect size for the application and it was easily adapted. As a waterproof electrical/electronic assembly box, it would be superb. The screws are stainless steel which will not rust, it has a silicone seal, and it comes with weathertight feed through cable bushings. This box is so versatile and durable. The thickness of the box walls and cover makes it very strong for a box of this type. It has a shiny appearance and the weight is light enough for mounting to a variety of surfaces. If you need a good weather tight box, you should really consider this box.

I was installing LED lighting in a cabinet and needed a clean way to hide the transformer and wiring connections. These worked perfectly. The build quality is excellent!

Thick ABS plastic all around. I saw on a review somewhere the metal threaded inserts can pull out. Well I can see how that's possible with the rubber grommet that fits into the groove all around the top of the box. If you try to smash that rubber seal with those 4 screws, you are highly likely to pull out those inserts. There's a lot of pressure needed to get the lid to compress that seal to the point where the lid touches the body. I cannot smash the lid with my two hands, nor step on the box with my 200 lbs and get that lid to close. It is enough to snug the lid against the seal as that will seal the box from the environment. If you don't need a weather tight container, then lose the seal. No problem. The grommets are large enough to hold nine 12 AWG stranded THHN wire.

Seems to be well made. Has a nice seal, should be weatherproof. Mine is mounted on the back of a service pickup so we'll see how it all holds up, but I'm guessing it will be fine.
