Excited to return to Raccoon City!
The old Resident Evil 2 was my first introduction to this amazing franchise, and I was both excited and a little skeptical of the remake! After finishing my first play through, I feel very pleasantly satisfied. Obviously someone learnt from Resident Evil 7 and this game has the same atmospheric, scary and polished aesthetic. Elements from the old RE2 are brought back so while the enemies and puzzles are familiar, they are changed just enough to still be fresh. My favourite part so far is running away from and kiting the T-Tyrant, it’s so thrilling that my palms sweat up every time I hear his footsteps! Right now, I cannot wait to replay the campaign and unlock all the additional game modes!

Bref, un must have!

Remake or Remarkable?
Resident Evil 2 was one of the scariest games I'd ever played growing up as a kid. Of course when I got the game MANY Christmas' ago, I found for the PlayStation a brand new copy of Biohazard 2. I hadn't played the first game and had no idea what was waiting for me beyond that very memorable PlayStation boot screen. let me tell you, restless nights were inbound.I was very happy to relive those moments with the HD graphics of this remake. For new and old fans alike I feel like this was certainly a welcome surprise. Still reminds me that you're never too manly or too old to scream like a little girl and hide under your bed sheets.P.S. Mr. X is behind you.

Incredible
This is a very high quality game from all fronts, story, animation, gameplay, setting, sound, etc. It's gory and scary but never had a cheap jump scare, it always felt legit, which I really enjoyed. The puzzles in the game are fun but never present a very tough challenge. There's a lot of replay value as there is a different story to play through when you play as the other character. A lot of the game is the same but there are parts that are totally different with new supporting characters along the way. Some free DLC is available as well which adds some more smaller modes to master. If you're a fan of classic zombie movies, this is your game.

Good remake for a good game
A really good remake for a really good game. At first I thought that the zombie took too many bullet to kill but if you compare it to the original it's pretty much the same thing (for standard difficulty). The only issue is that a headshot and a bodyshot does the same damage, but a headshot can crit and explode a zombie head which kills them instantly.
