A must if you own a dashcam
Update: 08/06/2020Still using the PMP and no issues. Cuts current exactly at the set point. I think the dashcam would not be that useful without it. Already caught 3 incidents during parking. Worth every penny!Original Review:Recently I installed the 2ch Blackvue dr900s and used the PMP hardwire option. This is an amazing option if you want to track your footage during parking hours. The installation guide is straight forward. I used 2 quick taps and connected as guided. Never ha a problem of battery draining causing the engine not to start. Since my car battery is brand new I do not expect any problems in the near future. One recommendation is to check the voltage options of the unit you gonna but. The older versions have 11.6 and 12v settings which might cause a problematic start, especially in the colder weather if 11.6v is set. The newer version has 12 and 12.5v settings and you will be a little more on the safe side. I have my time setting infinity and voltage setting at 12v. Tested several times and shuts off when getting 12v left in the battery and that is more than enough to start the car without any issues. I have been using this module for a while during summer and now in the cold climate in Boston. In addition to these settings I also got a free hotspot (T Mobil e gave it for trial) and got a Verizo n 2GB/$10 plan. Now I receive text alerts live if something happens to the car.I am completely satisfied with this unit and highly recommend it.

Works great
Works great. An added word of caution to make sure you buy the correct wire taps that your vehicle needs. The fuse taps that Amazon happened to suggest we’re not the right fuse size for my vehicle. My fault. Just make sure you’re getting regular vs mini vs low profile as your vehicle requires.

It does the job
It works as described. Turns off the camera when the voltage hits the set level. Its a little tricky to get it to come on at first but works well after that.

Nice while it lasted...
I've had the PMP for 9 months and it worked fine. Camera kept power and went into parking mode after 5 minutes of engine off. Then one day I realized the camera was no longer recording, it had no power. Plugging the camera directly into the 12v power verified it's still operational. I've rechecked the wiring with a multimeter as instructed by BlackVue support but then was handed off to a resaler in the States for handling and was instructed to retest everything by them. After doing so they gave me an address to send it to for testing. What a hassle to replace a 20$ faulty piece of electronics that's in warranty!

A must have if you have a dash cam
Want to ensure that your car battery isn't dead when you've left it parked but want to maintain the security of your car? A must have. I wired it myself and it wasn't overly complicated. Works as advertised but you better get the magnifying glass out to set the toggle switches !

Unclear instructions, but once installed, makes the blackvue the best dashcam on the market.
Instructions were missing critical steps. Nothing was clear. After several attempts, I just had a car stereo store install it for me. Turns out you need to locate fuse with a voltage around 15V, not 12V. The instructions that come with this say "12V". Wasted hours of my time trying to figure it out for myself before finally giving up. Other than that, the device really does what its meant to; which is allow the blackvue to function in parking mode.
