It works where most hand-held openers won't
I'd previously bought a watch repair kit which came with a hand-held device to open the watch. That didn't work, all it did was scratch the watch back. This device clamps the watch opener so there is no play, it won't slip and scratch the watch. Not giving it 5 stars because the instructions are barely usable.

Missing set screw securing upper tool.
Arrived incomplete. Missing set screw for upper tool holder. Otherwise the tool arrived in good shape…

Worked Like a Charm
It easily removed the back of a watch that I had struggled with before getting this tool. With this tool, it's very unlikely that you'll scratch the watch back. You use the vise to clamp the watch in place, then lower the removal tool to line up with the notches. The removal tool is then locked in place. Next, turn the knob to unscrew the watch back.
