My Aprilair furnance filter tells me to get a 210/213 why cant I find this one?

The Aprilaire 210/213 are two separate filters that fit the same unit. The Aprilaire 213 will provide you with a higher efficiency and remove smaller particles than the 210 filter. The Aprilaire 210 Filter has a MERV 11 rating and the Aprilaire 213 has a MERV 13 rating (It is kind of like how cars are rated at miles per gallon except with filters the higher the rating the better. The highest filter rating is a 15 MERV). If you have allergies the 210 filter will be just fine. If you have severe allergies and are wanting to take out as much contaminant as possible we would recommend the 213 filter. Hope this helps.

How often should I change these filters?

I live in a small three bedroom home with three adults in a dusty area and find that changing once a year still looks like overkill, but I am sticking to that schedule. These are great filters.

Will these filters fit the aprilaire air cleaner model 2210?

For the 2200 (which I have) there is an upgrade kit required to use the 213 or 216. The kit is worth it to use the better filter. It has been a while since I bought the upgrade kit, but it is basically a frame that is fairly easy to assemble, and allows you the slide in (with a little deftness) the 213 or 216 filter. You will not have to slide the annoying combs into the filter.
