The headset also has a mute button, a very nice feature!The headset accommodates those who wish to wear the headset over their left ear and those who wish to wear it over their right ear. You properly fit the headset to cover one ear, with the temple pad above the other ear on your temple. The only problem I have with this unit is that it rattles a little bit, but honestly, for the price it is a great deal. The noise cancelling is as good or better than some $100+ units I have bought before. It is so good that even when I drive with a window down it will cut out my voice before passing on any background noise. I have been outside using it in 20+mph winds and it does just fine. Range, connectivity, and battery life are still good 3 months after purchase.
