This is rebranded by manufacturer and its now wet consistency.

This is a pretty straightforward case of false advertising. They obviously have a bunch of old Right Guard Total Defense lying around, so to get rid of it at a premium price, they market it as Total Defense 5. It has less of the effective ingredient, and the sticks are unsealed (to be fair, they don’t come from Right Guard sealed, either). I took the cap off one and the product is slightly dried out, though still usable, with a slightly odd smell. Big disappointment.
