Lax'aire Laxative and Lubricant for Dogs and Cats, Gentle Constipation Relief and Hairball Remedy, 3 oz

I have an elderly cat who is nearing end of life. For the past few years he cries when he has a bowel movement and his poops are rock-solid. I have tried everything from switching to wet food (added moisture), etc. and I wish I knew about this sooner! Within two days, kitty was having regular bowel movements and zipping around the house with a new burst of energy. I add 1inch of this product to his food every other day and he gobbles it up! I was initially mixing it in, but now I just put it on top and he eats it with no issue. I also have another cat who eats some of his food and this has not caused any issues for him (bowel-wise), both seem to be happy and feeling good which is of most importance to me.

My cat is old and needs the help, this stuff keeps her regular and happy which makes me happy. This product seems to work SOMETIMES. When it works, I love it. Sometimes it seems to do nothing. My cat does like the flavor but gets tired of it. I have purchased several different products so I can mix days to use this. I gave it four stars because like I say that when it works I love it. Then main drawback is when you do put it on the paw....she (like any cat) tries to flip it off her paw and it hardens like a rock. I am afraid of what it is doing in her gut if it doesn't work. I now put a dose on her soft food with a little water added to it and that seems to do the trick. Good luck with this and it is a good product if you find the correct way to use it.

Very easy to use. My dogs did not balk about taking it at all. Bought for two older dogs who sometimes strain to poo and often have hair mixed in. This seems to be a gentle, effective solution with no obvious side effects.

This product works gently and very well. My cat has kidney failure which makes her BM's hard as bullets, very hard for her to pass. It has helped her pass more easily. I put some on my finger & she licks it off. Super easy! She thinks it's a treat!

I ordered this product at my brother's request. He has 2 cats that were having some issues in the litter box. It arrived very quickly and my brother began to administer it right away by following the directions. I would say that he had minimum success using it on his cats for a period of time.

This helped our little maltese with her constipation and she doesn’t mind the taste either
