Our Weber Genesis II grill wasn't lighting when pushing the button, and figured this was the issue. I bought the replacement part and it seems expensive for what it is, but it made my grill work again so whatever. The directions were okay, but I didn't see the need to remove the entire front panel so I didn't. I just looked underneath the panel and pushed the little clamps in to pull the igniter and wires out the front. Then, I carefully pulled off the wires, attached them to the new one and pushed the igniter back into the hole. SO MUCH easier than pulling all the knobs off and removing the front panel. The new igniter fired up the propane like it did when I first bought it. Five stars overall for the part, 3 stars for the value, and 0 stars for needing to buy this part 3 years after buying the grill.

Fits as it should. I did not take apart the face plate. I reached under and pressed the attachment spines. The wires were long enough to pull out the old button and simply unattached the wires and reattached them to the new button then pushed in in. boom it was done!

Never worked.

If your out of warranty, this is the cheapest I found on the internet w/shipping and tax. Works good, will see how longevity is.
