Works great. Has worked on any corked bottle that I have tried. slide it in, pump 10-30 times I would say, depending on size of the bottle, and how much wine is left in it. If sealed correctly, bottles do not leak when on their side. I have tried it on a couple different screw cap wines bottles, and was not able to get them to work, the inside diameter of the bottle was too large, and the resulting seal was too weak. Maintains suction for a week at least, have not had a bottle last any longer than that to determine how long it will hold, or how good the wine tastes.

Gets the job done. But there's no way to tell when you're done pumping! (My girlfriend tells me that other models do.)

I purchased this wine saver pump and love it. My previous pump is only 2 inches long. Needless to say, it took 50 pumps to clear the air out of the wine bottle. This VinoVelli vacuum pump is GREAT! It takes only a few pumps of the long handle and it seals air tight. You know when it has removed the air because it gives a distinct "ticktock" sound to notify you that it is vacuum tight. It also comes with 2 wine bottle stoppers that seal air-tight. This will make wine last much longer without oxidizing. Good product and good size for travel.

At the end of a long day, I look forward to settling down with a nice glass of wine to relax before going to bed. It's nice to know that you can save some of it without it going stale. Just like any other food products, pumping out the air will help it to stay fresh longer. These would make really nice gifts to keep on hand for unexpected events and also Christmas stocking stuffers. Might as well start early!

This is a great little set. The corks and the pump work great. Together they pull a vacuum inside the wine bottle that helps to preserve the bottle of wine for a few extra days. It worked great and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this product to others.
