Where is this tea grown?

The package (and product description) say it is grown in Japan. Can not find anything that narrows it down to a particular region on Japan. The distributor is in Kyoto, but that does not tell us much about where the tea was grown.

What is the "best used by" date on the tea currently available?

I received one a couple of weeks ago and the best used by date is March 24, 2018 (18.3.24)
